About me

Hi, I’m Cameron!

I joined my Middle School Newspaper The Scroll simply because a group of my friends coaxed me into doing so. I spent a year as a News Editor, and by the end of it, I had decided that journalism was going to be ‘my thing.’ My passion only expanded, I got tunnel vision, and progressing to the next stage of my career as a journalist was always the only option. I began on my High School Newspaper The Standard as a Staff Writer before earning the positions of News Editor: Print and Lead News Editor the following years. This past year, I took the greatest leap yet, applying to become Editor-in-Chief, a title I am immensely proud to hold.

Beyond high school, I am set to attend Columbia University in New York City as a member of the Class of 2026. I intend to study political science at Columbia, all the while preserving my passion for journalism, which I don’t think will ever dwindle.
